Along with her collaborator Karma Masselli, Danica won a HUDSY Community Content Fund Grant for the short documentary that “captures the heart and soul of the Kingston, NY electronics repair shop and it's owner, Burt Penchansky, while showing us why it has become a destination worthy of a pilgrimage…”

director’s lab north in toronto
Danica was invited to participate in the 2022 cohort of Directors Lab North in Toronto, Canada. Directors Lab North was born out of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, with the goal “to foster a national and international exchange between a community of emerging, mid-level and established career directors…”
Over the weeklong lab, Danica had the opportunity to learn from numerous Canadian guest artists including Ronnie Burkett, Jackie Maxwell, Reneltta Arluk, Keith Barker, Jill Carter, Peter Pasyk, Allyson McMackon, Kimberley Rampersad, and Mike Payette, among others.

Danica is proud to have some of her footage featured in the final cut, premiering at the Sundance Film Festival 2021, and releasing on Youtube February 6th, 2021.
